SYLA Free Clinic a Big Success
by SYLA Staff posted 02/17/2009

Live shooting practice at the SYLA free clinic
The free clinic held by SYLA on February 8th was a huge success. We had over 35 boys and girls attend and a great times was had by all. The day started with a live Indoor Box Lacrosse demonstration by the University of Scranton Varsity Lacrosse team. The live deomnstratin was followed with an instructional clinic where boys and girls were instructioned by U of S lacrosse players on; groundball technique and the fundamentals of catching, throwing and shooting.

Early registration for our 2009 spring program is strong. Please spread the word to families and friends so that we can ensure our first season is a big success.

*Special thanks to the Unviersity of Scranton for use of the Long Center, as well as the Men's Lacrosse program for volunteering their time at the clinic.
